5.0MM Narrow LCP

Accordion Hover Style
+ Description

The Ø5.0mm Narrow Locking Compression Plate (LCP) is a versatile orthopedic implant designed for internal fixation of fractures in long bones such as the femur, tibia, or humerus. It combines conventional plating techniques with locking screw technology, offering enhanced stability, especially in osteoporotic or comminuted bone.

This plate features a narrow profile for minimal soft tissue disruption while maintaining strength and biomechanical integrity. It is compatible with Ø5.0mm locking and cortical screws, allowing surgeons to apply either compression, neutralization, or bridging constructs based on the fracture pattern.

Made from medical-grade stainless steel or titanium alloy, the plate is pre-contoured to match the natural curvature of long bones, reducing the need for intraoperative adjustments.

+ Indications
  • 4.5/5MM Locking LCP Narrow Plate is intended for fixation of various long bones, such as the humerus, femur and tibia. These are also used in fixation of peri-prosthetic fractures, osteopenic bone and fixation of nonunions and malunions in adult patients. The oval shaped hole is designed to create dynamic pressure between the fractured bone fragments.

+ Key Features
  • Plate has combi holes and round holes. Combi holes allow fixation with locking screws in the threaded section and cortex screws in the dynamic compression unit section for compression.
  • The shaft holes accept 5MM locking screws in the threaded portion or 4.5MM cortical screws or 5MM Locking cancellous screws in the compression portion.
  • The syMMetrical shape of the plate holes enables compression to be achieved in both directions.
  • The hole spacing in the plate is regular. Plate positioning is thus not restricted by the presence of a mid-section. This is of particular advantage in coMMinuted or segmental fractures.
  • 4.5/5MM Locking LCP Narrow Plate allow implant placement to address the individual fracture pattern.
  • Limited-contact surface reduces bone-to-plate contact and helps to preserve the periosteal blood supply.
  • Choice of different lengths of plate eliminates the need to cut plates.
  • Pre-contoured plate to match anatomical shape.
  • Available in both Titanium and Stainless steel.
  • locking plate increases construct stability, decreases risk of screw back-out and subsequent loss of reduction. It also reduces the need for precise anatomic plate contouring and minimizes the risk of stripped screw holes.
