+ Description

The 3.5MM lcp olecranon plates are indicated for fixation of fractures, osteotomies and nonunions of the olecranon, particularly in osteopenic bone.

+ Indications
  • Olecranon Fractures: Simple transverse fractures
    Comminuted fractures
    Oblique or segmental fractures
    Intra-articular fractures of the proximal ulna
  • Osteotomies: Olecranon osteotomies performed for exposure during distal humerus fracture fixation
  • Nonunions or Malunions: Correction of previously healed but malaligned olecranon fractures
    Treatment of nonunions in the proximal ulna
  • Fracture Dislocations: Part of surgical treatment for complex elbow fracture-dislocations (e.g., Monteggia fractures or terrible triad injuries)
  • Periprosthetic Fractures: Fractures around elbow prostheses, depending on surgeon preference and plate contour

  • Anatomically precontoured
  • Head holes accept 3.5MM locking screws, and 2.7MM and 3.5MM cortex screws
  • Shaft holes accept 3.5MM locking screws and 3.5MM cortex screws
  • Choice of six lengths with 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 Combi holes in the shaft
  • Guide block for easy and correct insertion of proximal screws
  • locking plate increases construct stability, decreases risk of screw back-out and subsequent loss of reduction. It also reduces the need for precise anatomic plate contouring and minimizes the risk of stripped screw holes.
