Parallel Connector | Titanium

+ Description
A Parallel Connector is an implant component used in spinal fixation systems to link two longitudinal rods that run parallel to each other in the same plane. It enables construct extension, transition, or modular bridging between spinal segments without replacing the entire rod system. This is particularly useful in long-segment constructs, revision surgeries, or construct reinforcement.
Parallel connectors are made from medical-grade titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V ELI) or cobalt-chrome, offering strength, stability, and biocompatibility. They come in fixed or adjustable configurations, supporting a wide range of rod diameters.
+ Indications
- Extension of Existing Spinal Constructs
- Bridge Gaps in multi-level constructs or across osteotomy sites
- Modular Reconstruction during trauma or deformity correction
- Spinal Revision Surgery requiring additional construct support
- When existing spinal rods are insufficient in length
- In revision cases where only partial hardware replacement is needed
- When reinforcing segments in long constructs to improve mechanical strength
- As a part of hybrid fixation strategies across transitional zones
+ Key Features
- Rod-to-Rod Bridging : Connects two parallel rods to extend or reinforce spinal constructs. Enables modular and customizable constructs
- Adjustable or Fixed Options : Available in telescopic, sliding, or fixed-length models. Accommodates varied inter-rod spacing
- Secure Locking Design : Dual-screw or clamp locking mechanisms ensure reliable fixation. Maintains rigidity under physiological loads
- Compatibility with Multiple Rod Diameters : Supports common rod sizes (e.g., 5.5 mm, 6.0 mm, 6.35 mm)Designed for universal or system-specific integration
- Low-Profile Construction : Reduces soft tissue irritation and implant prominence
- Titanium or CoCr Construction : Offers excellent strength, fatigue resistance, and imaging compatibility
- Quick Intraoperative Application : Streamlines surgical workflow in primary or revision procedures
