Anterior Cervical Spacer | PEEK

+ Description
The Anterior Cervical Spacer (PEEK) is a radiolucent, implantable device used in Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) to maintain intervertebral disc height, restore spinal alignment, and promote fusion between adjacent cervical vertebrae. Manufactured from medical-grade PEEK (Polyetheretherketone), it offers optimal biocompatibility and mechanical compatibility with bone.
The spacer is designed for insertion into the intervertebral space following discectomy, and features a central cavity for bone graft material, facilitating osteointegration and long-term spinal fusion.
+ Indications
- Cervical degenerative disc disease
- Cervical disc herniation
- Spondylosis and cervical radiculopathy
- Instability following trauma or prior surgery
- Pseudarthrosis (nonunion) requiring re-fusion
- Single- or multi-level ACDF procedures
- Used in conjunction with anterior cervical plates or stand-alone systems (when allowed)
+ Key Features
- Medical-Grade PEEK Material : Radiolucent for unobstructed post-op imaging Biocompatible with an elastic modulus similar to bone to reduce stress shielding
- Large Central Bone Graft Chamber : Facilitates autograft or allograft packing to promote bony fusion
- Anatomic Design : Lordotic angle options for restoring natural cervical spine curvature Tapered edges to ease insertion and optimize endplate contact
- Radiopaque Markers : Embedded metal markers ensure visibility under fluoroscopy or X-ray
- Smooth, Nonporous Surface : Minimizes tissue adhesion and allows for safe, controlled insertion
- Size Variability : Available in multiple footprints, heights, and angles to match patient anatomy
- ISO & CE Certified Manufacturing : Compliant with international standards for orthopedic and spinal implants
