Anterior Cervical Odontoid Screw Partial Thread | Titanium

+ Description
The Anterior Cervical Odontoid Screw – Partial Thread (Ti) is a precision spinal implant used in the anterior fixation of odontoid fractures, especially Type II fractures. Designed to deliver lag screw compression, its partially threaded shaft allows the threaded distal portion to engage the dens while the smooth proximal shaft glides through the anterior cortex of C2, drawing the fracture ends together for stable fusion.
Crafted from Ti6Al4V ELI titanium, the screw is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and compatible with MRI imaging. This screw is often cannulated to allow guided insertion over a K-wire, improving placement accuracy in minimally invasive surgical techniques.
+ Indications
- Anterior cervical approach for odontoid fracture repair
- Used in standalone odontoid fixation or part of hybrid cervical procedures
- Shallow Type III odontoid fractures
- Fractures with intact C1–C2 alignment
- Patients where posterior fusion is not preferred (e.g., to preserve rotation)
+ Key Features
- Partial Thread Design : Promotes lag effect for interfragmentary compression Enhances fracture stability and healing across the odontoid fracture line
- Self-Tapping Tip : Simplifies insertion without the need for pre-tapping Saves operative time and reduces instrumentation
- Cannulated Option (Optional) : Allows insertion over a guidewire for precision and minimal invasiveness
- Low-Profile Head : Minimizes anterior hardware prominence, reducing irritation and dysphagia risk
- Medical-Grade Titanium Alloy (Ti6Al4V ELI) : Biocompatible, corrosion-resistant, and MRI-safe Offers high strength with minimal weight
- Available in Various Lengths and Diameters : Accommodates different patient anatomies and fracture depths
- ISO 13485 & CE Certified : Manufactured to meet international safety and quality standards
