Limb Lengthing Fixator Medium

Accordion Hover Style
+ Description

The Medium Limb Lengthening Fixator is an external orthopedic device designed for distraction osteogenesis, allowing gradual lengthening of long bones such as the tibia, femur, humerus, or radius/ulna in adolescents and adults. This fixator is part of a monolateral or hybrid frame system and is used following a corticotomy to slowly stretch the bone and regenerate new bone tissue in the gap. It supports stable fixation, precise alignment, and incremental distraction, making it a trusted tool for both trauma reconstruction and deformity correction.

Material:
Main Body / Rails / Rods:
High-strength anodized aluminum or carbon fiber (lightweight, radiolucent)

Distraction Unit / Screws:
Stainless steel (AISI 316L) or titanium alloy (for strength and durability)

Clamps & Connectors:
Surgical-grade stainless steel or titanium

Finish:
Corrosion-resistant, biocompatible, fully autoclavable

+ Indications
  • Limb Length Discrepancy Treatment: Corrects congenital or acquired leg length inequalities, especially in adolescents and adults.
  • Post-Traumatic Bone Loss Reconstruction: Fills gaps after bone resection due to trauma, tumor removal, or infection.
  • Bone Transport: Used in segmental transport techniques for managing large bone defects.
  • Complex Limb Deformity Correction: Provides support for angular and rotational realignment, including in cases of non-union or malunion.
  • Humerus or Radius/Ulna Lengthening: Effective for upper limb lengthening procedures in mid-sized bones.
