Monoaxial Reduction Screw | Titanium

+ Description
The Monoaxial Reduction Screw is a type of spinal pedicle screw designed with a fixed (monoaxial) head and a built-in reduction mechanism. This screw allows surgeons to apply controlled reduction forces to align displaced or misaligned vertebrae with the spinal rod during posterior fixation procedures. Its rigid head design ensures angular stability and is especially useful in cases requiring vertebral realignment, such as spondylolisthesis, spinal trauma, and deformity correction.
Manufactured using medical-grade titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V ELI), the screw offers high strength, biocompatibility, and imaging compatibility.
+ Indications
- Reduction of Spondylolisthesis (especially Grades I–II)
- Spinal Trauma requiring vertebral realignment
- Posterior Spinal Fusion in lumbar, thoracic, or sacral levels
- Spinal Deformity Correction (kyphosis, scoliosis)
- Revision Surgery where prior instrumentation failed or alignment is compromised Vertebral misalignment or anterior slippage
- Degenerative or traumatic instability of the spine
- Conditions requiring rigid fixation and direct vertebral reduction
- Patients needing enhanced control of rod-seating and realignment during surgery
+ Key Features
- Monoaxial (Fixed-Head) Design :Provides rigid angular stability and enhances biomechanical strength. Ensures accurate vertebral alignment and predictable force transmission
- Integrated Reduction Thread/Tower : Enables controlled rod capture and vertebral reduction during surgery. Simplifies intraoperative correction of displaced segments
- Self-Tapping / Self-Drilling Tip : Allows easier insertion without pre-drilling. Enhances screw anchorage and reduces surgical time
- Low-Profile Head : Minimizes tissue irritation and supports clean wound closure
- High Pull-Out Strength : Deep threads for secure bone fixation in both cortical and cancellous bone
- Titanium Alloy Construction : Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, MRI-compatible
- Color-Coded Options (Optional) : Facilitates quick size identification during procedures
