Posterior Cervical Connecting Rod | Titanium

+ Description
The Posterior Cervical Connecting Rod is a critical component in posterior cervical spinal instrumentation systems. Made from medical-grade titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V ELI), the rod is designed to connect polyaxial or monoaxial screws placed in the lateral mass or pedicle of the cervical spine. It provides rigid longitudinal stability while accommodating cervical spine curvature and maintaining implant integrity under physiological loads.
Available in various lengths and diameters, these rods are compatible with most 3.5 mm cervical screw systems and support deformity correction, fusion, and stabilization in cervical spine procedures.
+ Indications
- Cervical spine instability (trauma, tumor, infection)
- Degenerative conditions requiring posterior fusion
- Deformity correction (kyphosis, scoliosis)
- Post-laminectomy or laminoplasty stabilization
- Revision surgeries
- Used in posterior cervical constructs to connect lateral mass or pedicle screws
- Provides stability and load sharing during fusion
- Can be used in hybrid cervical-thoracic constructs when needed
+ Key Features
- Titanium Alloy Construction (Ti6Al4V ELI) : High strength-to-weight ratio Biocompatible and MRI-safe Excellent corrosion resistance
- Precision Machined : Smooth finish for reduced tissue irritation Ensures accurate fit with rod-to-screw interfaces
- Available in Pre-Bent and Straight Designs : Pre-contoured rods for anatomic cervical alignment Straight rods allow for intraoperative contouring
- Compatible with Standard Cervical Screws :Easily integrates with 3.5 mm posterior cervical screw systems Works with a variety of connectors and crosslink devices
- Multiple Lengths and Diameters : Typically available in 3.0 mm and 3.5 mm diameters Lengths from 30 mm to 120 mm or more, customizable based on construct needs
- Rigid Fixation : Maintains construct integrity under motion and loading Supports bone fusion and prevents mechanical failure
- ISO 13485 & CE Certified : Manufactured to meet international quality and safety standards
